I deal with lots of burlesque showgirls and it seems the retro look is definately a strong factor in todays burlesque shows. Tight fitting corsets with frilly knickers and the obligatory fully fashioned stockings with the finishing loop hole to the back.  From burlesque shows, to more  mainstream fashion, it seems we all wish to attain the glam look of the 40's and 50's.
